The content of the component.

Type:node


color

The color of the component. It supports those theme colors that make sense for this component.

component

The component used for the root node. Either a string to use a HTML element or a component.

disabled

If true, the children are in disabled state.

Type:bool

Default:false


error

If true, the children will indicate an error.

Type:bool

Default:false


orientation

The content direction flow.

Type:'horizontal'
| 'vertical'

Default:'vertical'


required

If true, the user must specify a value for the input before the owning form can be submitted. If true, the asterisk appears on the FormLabel.

Default:false


size

The size of the component.

slotProps

The props used for each slot inside.

The system prop that allows defining system overrides as well as additional CSS styles.

The component that renders the root.

Class name: .MuiFormControl-root

Default component: 'div'


CSS classes

These class names are useful for styling with CSS. They are applied to the component's slots when specific states are triggered.

Class name applied to the root element if disabled={true}.


.Mui-errorSTATE

State class applied to the root element if error={true}.

Class name applied to the root element if color="danger".
